To take a selfie or not to take a selfie, that’s the question…
What if people had even smartphones in earlier centuries and the ability to shoot theirselves? The answer provides us the danish artist Olivia Muus and and also explains the origin of the unusual photos series:
„This is a project that started when my friend aka. right hand and I went to the National Gallery of Denmark in Copenhagen.
I took a picture for fun and liked how this simple thing could change their character and give their facial expression a whole new meaning.“
She called the series „Museum of Selfie“ and now we can see historical portraits mixed with right hands holding a smartphone. Perfect match and very funny.
Furthermore, she appeals us, if we visit a museum to do the same and to take photos and send it it to her, so that they may publish them on her tumblr.
Now culture is fun. 😉
